Christmas is coming: let’s bake gingerbread

In some families, baking cookies is an important tradition for the Christmas holidays. In my family, of Swedish tradition, baking cookies has always been an important issue. And this has left a mark on my way of being and passing on traditions to my children. It is not necessary to be "believers", but having some tradition that binds parents and children helps to feel close at certain times, even when far away. If you are used to buy ready-made cookies, why  don’t you try making them from scratch this year? I’ll teach you how to bake gingerbread cookies, omino di pampepato, pepparkakor, ginger snaps. Whether you call them in one way or another they are the most fragrant of all holiday cookies: ginger, cinnamon and cloves will give your home an unmistakable scent, which will only go away when the holidays are over. So, what are you waiting for? In this course – a bit transgressive for a dietician – I will teach you how to prepare the dough with the best recipe, that of Mamma Vera. Together we will use the rolling pin to roll out a very thin sheet of dough and I will whisper in your ear the little tricks that make everything feasible, even with small children in their first cooking experiences. The course will be via Google Meet and will last 1h and 30 ‘. Here is what you need for the dough: flour; sugar; golden syrup (molasses) – can be bought easily online; ginger / cinnamon / cloves / pepper (all powdered); butter; bicarbonate; eggs; water. In addition, you will need: a lot of patience, an oven, baking sheets (flat cookie pans), a pan (for melting and mixing ingredients), a wooden spoon, a table to roll out the dough (marble, wood, laminate is fine), a rolling pin for each baker, a flexible spatula, your favorite cookie cutters, a computer / tablet or smartphone to follow the lesson and interact with me and with other participants. I wait for you!  I will send you the exact list of ingredients, once you have booked. This recipe is not suitable if you are gluten intolerant (celiac disease). Also, read the privacy note, related to the data that will be collected for billing.  The listed price is per each online connection.
